Philips Smartphone Review: Should You Buy This Phone or Not?
So this is a Philips LED bulb brand… now launching a phone?!
“Mentos moment” — brain light ON, phone launch done ๐
Hey เคฆोเคธ्เคคों, what’s up! Jai Hind ๐ฎ๐ณ
Today we’re checking a new Philips smartphone.
Most people know Philips for LED bulbs.
But they also make home appliances, trimmers, health devices, and even baby products.
So yes — Philips is a trusted brand.
Almost every home has something from Philips.
But… is this phone actually worth buying?
Let’s find out.
Quick backstory (important).
Philips tried phones earlier… didn’t work.
Then they licensed their brand to other companies.
This phone is NOT made by Philips directly.
It’s made under license by another company in India.
You won’t find this phone on Philips official website.
You’ll find it on distributor websites instead.
Same specs, different designs.
Basically, one phone, two looks.
Unboxing experience:The box looks like Philips branding.
Inside you get:
• Phone
• Charger (25W, Type-C to Type-C)
• Braided cable (nice touch!)
• Back cover

Back looks like an older iPhone style.
The front looks like a budget phone.

6.75” HD+ LCD
120Hz refresh rate
Quality?
Average colors, typical budget feel.
Build & hardware:
Plastic body
Side fingerprint sensor
Single speaker (average sound)

Hybrid slot (2 SIM or 1 SIM + SD card)
Connectivity & sensors:
5G supported
No proper 4G+ aggregation

Battery & performance:
5700mAh battery
Processor: Unisoc (budget level)
~6 lakh AnTuTu score

Software:
Android 16
Clean UI (no bloatware)
But…
Very limited features
No proper animations
Even call recording is missing (despite Google Dialer)
Camera reality:
Looks like triple camera… but actually single main camera
50MP main
8MP selfie
Photo quality:
Very average
Weak image processing
Poor colors & skin tones
Price shock ๐ณ
Expected price people guessed: ₹30K+
Actual price:
Around ₹14,000–₹15,000
Now the real question:
Is it worth buying?
Straight answer: NO ❌
Reasons:
• Not actually Philips-made
• Weak camera
• Average performance
• Poor service clarity
• Price not justified
Service center issue:
List available… but no proper address or contact ๐
Just names and emails — no clarity
Final verdict:
This phone is trying to sell using the Philips name only.
Don’t buy just because of the brand.
It doesn’t justify the price.
What do you think? Will this phone survive in the market?
